
Acquisition of the premises
By the faḍl of Allah ﷻ, Dār al-ʿUlūm al-Imām Muḥammad Ādam al-Islāmiyyah announces the acquisition of a new premises for sisters that will facilitate the further expansion of the Dār al-ʿUlūm’s vision, mission, and goals. The Dār al-ʿUlūm welcomes this great milestone, which further enhances it’s ability to disseminate, propagate and infuse the Prophetic inheritance of knowledge for the next generation of female scholars and students.
Located in Leicester, the new premises which was a former gurdwara, allows for the space to grow and foster a community of women that is rooted in the Islamic intellectual tradition of ta’leem and tarbiyah. The facility is able to hold and increase the capacity by many folds for the ever increasing students of Islamic knowledge and comfortably house all different classes of the ʿĀlimiyyah Programmeme for sisters. Students will use the facility for the study of Islamic Theology, Islamic Law, Qur’ānic Recitation, Qur’ānic Exegesis, reading and studying Ḥadīth and its sciences, Arabic studies, the Instrumental Sciences, and much more. The Saturday Tafsir delivered weekly for sisters, which has been a staple at the Dār al-ʿUlūm for a number of years, will continue to take place with the session open to all sisters at the new premises.
The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘When a person dies, their deeds come to an end, except for three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for them." (Muslim)
